今回、私K.Mは１週間のお休みを頂き、カナダ旅行を楽しんで参りました。 皆さまに、私のお気に入りの景色を見て頂きたく、このページを設けさせて頂きました。素人写真でうまく感動が伝えられるかわかりませんが、是非見て下さい！
まずは、轟音がこだまし圧倒的な水量で流れ落ちる有名な名瀑、ナイアガラの滝。見る角度によってまったく表情が変わり、遠景から、高いタワーから レストランから、場所を変えて楽しみました。夜は、滝がライトアップされて、幻想的な姿が立ち現れました。
太陽の光を反射してエメラルドグリーンに輝く幻想的な湖、レイク・ルイーズ。ロッキーの宝石とも讃えられ、背後にそびえるビクトリア山を含め、まるで絵葉書のような美しさ。
ペイト氷河から流れる堆積物によって、春は深緑、夏は深いブルー、秋はトルコブルーによって色を変える湖、ペイト・レイク。午前の方が色が鮮やか。氷河の雪解け水が堆積物でせき止められてできたボウ・レイクも美しい。
天使が羽を広げたように見えるエンジェル氷河で有名なマウント・エディス・キャベル（標高３３６３ｍ）。真っ白い毛が特徴のカモシカの仲間、マウンテンゴートを探せ！普段は山中の崖に住んでいるが、運が良ければ山から降りてくるところを見られる。

河の風に吹かれながら、地殻変動を繰り返して生まれた、コロンビア大氷原。北極圏に次いで、北半球最大の氷原。一面銀世界なので、晴れた日にはサングラスが必需品。氷河から溶け出した水は、ひと口で10年若返るという言い伝えがある。
